Dana Johnson
Department: Amazing Kids Worship
Areas of Ministry: I lead and develop children’s worship. In other words, I plan worship for young people and kids who actually do it while I pray and cheer them on.
Family: I met my wife Linda on her 16th birthday; she threw herself at me in the hall at Meridian High School. I had to go to church with her for our first date. We’ve been married 35 years (I think I was 10, she was 9?). We have 2 children and 6 grandchildren … holidays are a blast.
Saved: I received Jesus repeatedly as a young boy, and don’t actually know a particular one that was “it.” They all seemed critical at the time. After a brief teenage-years slide, I came to a point of surrender at Central Assembly of God in Boise, Idaho, in 1973.
Previous Lines of Work: Construction (shhhh), children’s pastor, president of a children’s non-profit ministry.
One of the Things I Find Most Fascinating: Drivers who speed up as you attempt to pass and slow down again after you get by them.
