About
Mix56
Mix 56 is Gateway’s ministry for preteens. We’re so excited to partner with you and serve your 5th and 6th graders.
What is Mix56?
Imagine being a 5th or 6th grade student. You don’t quite think you're a kid anymore (even though you are), but you’re a little hesitant about being with the Jr. High students. So, where do you fit in during this transitional period of your life? Well, wonder no more. Mix56 is Gateway’s preteen ministry designed to help 5th and 6th graders grow in God and go out to others (Matthew 4:19).
Serving as a bridge between elementary and middle school, this ministry provides students with the best of both worlds. Mix56’ers have relevant weekly services designed to both challenge and encourage them in a God-filled atmosphere of crazy fun. They also have the opportunity to hang out and socialize at 56 Fun Nights, serve the community on 56 Serve days, and experience their very own life-changing summer camp called MixUp. In essence, Mix56 is the place where preteens are prepared for the next chapter of their lives. Our heart is that they will develop an intimate relationship with God and a passion for serving others while having a blast.
What are the service times?
Services are held in The Mix room simultaneously with adult weekend service times at Gateway Southlake and Gateway NRH as well as on Monday nights (GSA) in the Rock-n-Roller Coaster Room.
